Fire Detection Alarm Using IR Sensor School Paper Circuit Project Abstract: Fire accidents pose a serious threat to life and property, making early detection systems essential for safety. This project presents a Fire Detection Alarm System using an Infrared (IR) Sensor to identify the presence of fire or flames at an early stage. The IR sensor detects infrared radiation emitted by fire and sends a signal to the control circuit. Upon detection, the system activates a buzzer alarm to alert people in the surrounding area. The design is simple, cost-effective, and highly efficient for small-scale applications such as homes, offices, laboratories, and workshops. By utilizing low-power components and easy-to-implement circuitry, this system offers a reliable and affordable fire safety solution that can significantly reduce the risk of damage and enhance timely preventive measures. Working: The fire alarm device operates on the principle of Infrared (IR) sensing. Fire emits a significant amount of infrared radiation, which can be detected by an IR sensor. When the IR rays fall on the sensor, its resistance decreases. This change in resistance affects the voltage across the sensor in the resistor divider network of the circuit. As the resistance of the IR sensor decreases, the output voltage (V3) increases. When this voltage reaches a sufficient level, it activates the transistor connected to the circuit. The transistor then drives the buzzer and LED, thereby producing both an audible and visual alert. The fire alarm circuit is designed using good-quality electronic components to ensure accuracy, durability, and reliability. In this way, whenever fire is detected, the system instantly alerts the surroundings through a beeping buzzer and glowing LED, enabling quick preventive action.
